Rallies, meetings mark World Malaria Day
As part of the World Malaria Day celebrations, the Medical and Health Department staff organised rallies and awareness meetings across the district on Wednesday. The department conducted rallies with staff and students in the main centers of all mandals in the district.
Kothagudem: As part of the World Malaria Day celebrations, the Medical and Health Department staff organised rallies and awareness meetings across the district on Wednesday. The department conducted rallies with staff and students in the main centers of all mandals in the district.
In the major towns of Kothagudem, Palvoncha, Yellandu, Bhadahclam, and Aswaraopet, the health workers held several programmes and distributed pamphlets to create awareness on Malaria. During the rally, they raised slogans emphasizing on the need to prevent malaria in all villages.
On the occasion, Health officials urged the people to use mosquito mats and take other precautions to prevent the spread of Malaria. The department staff also took a pledge to eradicate Malaria in all villages in the district on the occasion.
