Mahbubnagar: Lauding the performance of the ‘SHE’ teams working very efficiently and effectively in curbing harassment by hooligans against the college girls, working women and others in the urban areas of Mahabubnagar, District Superintendent of Police Dr. B Anuradha said that she was also planning to further strengthen and expand the services of She-Teams in the rural areas, as there were complaints of atrocities and harassment against women in the villages. She was addressing the media in the town on Friday.
The Superintendent of Police said that the root cause of atrocities against women and girls start right from their own households. She advised the parents to change their mindset and encourage girls to take part in all the activities and make them courageous. Only then will the girls come out of their confinements and prove to the world that they can achieve greater heights on par with their male counterparts.
The SP referred the examples of the recent medal winners in the common wealth sports persons, where in, majority of them were women candidates. So, if the girls were given all support both from their families and society, they would scale great heights, she added.
