rmpGidivada: Registered Medical Practitioners (RMPs) Welfare Association Krishna district president Dr Nanduri Uma Shankar has called upon rural medical practitioners to make the solidarity rally proposed at Machilipatnam on 29th of this month a big success. The rally was to discuss the problems being faced by RMPs. He was releasing the publicity material on the proposed unity rally at the local Sagiraju Subba Raju Hospital. Speaking on the occasion, he said the government decision to recognize over 90,000 RMPs in the State under GO no 429 was not being implemented in practice. Under the GO, the government wanted the RMPs to undergo community para medical course. Though many of the RMPs underwent the course, they were not given certificates even after months of training, he said. He said that a solidarity rally calling for unity among RMPs to fight for justice would be taken out from Machilipatnam bus stand to the Collectorate on April 29 and urged the rural medical professionals to take part in the rally in large numbers and make it a big success. District RMPs Welfare Association secretary, Dr D Venkata Raju, State Association vice president, Dr Kola Venkateswara Rao, Gudivada area president Dr Sagiraju Udaya Bhaskara Raju among others participated in the programme.
