Amaravati: Anand Sharma of Congress expressed solidarity to people of AP, CM Chandrababu Naidu and others for their protest against the Centre.
He said that the Special Category Status to the AP was a part of Cabinet decision, when the then PM Manhmohan Singh announced the promise in Parliament, while extending solidarity to Chandrababu Naidu at the Dharma Porata Deekhsa at AP Bhavan in New Delhi on Monday.
The BJP government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi did not honour it hence Chandrababu Naidu was forced to stage this protest. Modi government betrayed AP, Anand Sarma blamed.
“No PM in the country would speak like what Narendra Modi spoke about CM Chandrababu Naidu in Guntur public meeting on Sunday. We condemned it. He dragged the political discourse to a very low level. He desecrated dignity of Prime Minister’s office. It is an insult to the State and people of Andhra Pradesh.”, he added.
It is a matter of a few weeks to defeat Narendra Modi.
