Recently, a new study at the university of Colorado boulder suggested that alcohol consumption is more detrimental to people's brain than Marijuana.

Researchers at the university looked at more than 850 adults and 430 teenagers to find that alcohol, but not cannabis, led to lower brain volumes of great and white brain tissue. Any reduction in volume could lead to impaired function but that decreased volume was not observed in participants who only consumed the drug.

As marijuana may also have some negative consequences, it is nowhere near the negative consequences of alcohol.

Till date a lot scientists could not actually make out how marijuana actually affects the brain as opposed to numerous studies showing the same results about brain health and consuming alcohol.
