The Election Commission on Friday announced the schedule for Assembly elections in Delhi, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Mizoram. The highlight of the elections will be the introduction of the None Of The Above option of negative voting.

While polls to elect the 70-member Delhi Assembly, the 200-member Rajasthan Assembly, the 230-member Madhya Pradesh Assembly and the 40-member Mizoram Assembly will be held in a single phase, the elections to elect the 90-member Chhattisgarh Assembly will be held in two phases, Chief Election Commissioner V.S. Sampath said on Friday.
The first phase of elections in Chhattisgarh is on November 11, 2013 and the second phase on November 19, 2013. Madhya Pradesh will go to polls on November 25, 2013, while elections in Rajasthan will be held on December 1, 2013.
Elections in Delhi and Mizoram will be held on December 4, 2013. The Assembly bypolls for Surat in Gujarat and Yercaud in Tamil Nadu will also be held on the same day.
Counting of votes will be held on December 8, 2013.
