After Vizag, Venakaiah Naidu Adopts Village In Karnataka. Union Minister for Urban Development, Housing, Urban Poverty Alleviation and Parliamentary Affairs, M Venkaiah Naidu has adopted Yeliyuru village panchayat in Bengaluru Rural district.

Union Minister for Urban Development, Housing, Urban Poverty Alleviation and Parliamentary Affairs, M Venkaiah Naidu has adopted Yeliyuru village panchayat in Bengaluru Rural district.

The panchayat comprises eight villages in Devanahalli taluk, and it has been adopted under the Centre's Sansad Adarsh Gram Yojana. Venkaiah who is a Rajya Sabha MP from Karnataka visited the panchayat, interacted with some villagers and identified the development works to be taken up under the scheme.The aim is to ensure all-round development of the panchayat.

Venkaiah hailing from Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh has already adopted Chepala Uppada village of Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam district for rehabilitation and development in the aftermath of recent cyclone Hudhud that ravaged north coastal districts of the state in 2014.
