Gang Rape is impractical says Mulayam Singh Yadav
SP Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav is once again in the news over his statements on rape. Citing the Badaun rape case as example, Mr Yadav on Tuesday cited said that it was blown out of proportion.

Mr Yadav said that the CBI probe revealed that there was no rape committed but it was a cold-blooded murder for property by the victim’s cousins. Calling the cases where innocents were implicated and harassed as not practical, he said that there were instances where the victim named four people when only one person committed rape just to settle scores.
The SP Chief compared the rate of rape in UP to other BJP ruled states and said that UP was the lowest with 2%, Madhya Pradesh – 9%, Rajasthan – 7% and Delhi the highest. Mulayam Singh Yadav’s statement has however, not been taken too kindly by the public with many condemning his comments and also questioning his position in the political medium.
