Bashistha Dev Sarma, the head of Barpeta Satra said that, it is unfortunate that Congress vice president claimed that he was stopped entering in the satra.
“There is no RSS agent in the Barpeta Satra and we have not believed it as any RSS worker entered in the vaishnavite monestry,” Bashistha Dev Sarma said.
“There were some local women who came on that day and want to see Rahul Gandhi. They did not know any politics,” the head of Barpeta Satra said.On Monday, Rahul Gandhi claimed that he was stopped when he want to enter in Barpeta Satra.
On other hand, Assam Pradesh Congress Committee president Anjan Dutta on Monday said that, some RSS workers had tried to stop Rahul Gandhi to enter in the satra.
“This is an agenda against the Congress. We have collected some pictures and intelligence agency also confirmed it that RSS agents were present in the satra,” Anjan Dutta said.
On December 12, Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi also claimed the RSS activities.
