Assam: Three police personnel injured in grenade blast
At least three police personnel were injured in a grenade blast incident and eight persons including a brother of a Congress leader were kidnapped in Assam’s Dima Hasao district on Wednesday night, officials said on Thursday.
Guwahati: At least three police personnel were injured in a grenade blast incident and eight persons including a brother of a Congress leader were kidnapped in Assam’s Dima Hasao district on Wednesday night, officials said on Thursday.
According to reports, three police personnel were injured when miscreants lobbed a grenade targeting to the security personnel who were engaged in security of a BJP leader in the hill district.
Police said that, a miscreant group had also fired targeting to the BJP leader house of the district last night. The injured police personnel had rushed to Haflong civil hospital.
On other hand, a brother of a Congress leader and seven other persons were kidnapped by miscreants from Umrangso area in the district last night. Security forces had launched operation at the hilly areas to trace the abducted persons.
