New Delhi : SC ignored all claims made by religious groups about the viral wink scene picturised in the song Manikya Malaraya Poovi. They said the scene doesn't hurt any religious sentiments, and that the act can never be termed 'blasphemous'.
"There is no offence made under Section 295A of IPC, as alleged in the FIR", said the court. The court also ruled in favour of the movie, saying no FIRs should be made against Priya Varrier or any other person concerned with the movie.
This comes as a relief to the 18 year old actress who rose to overnight fame after the scene went viral on the internet.
