The Prime Minister Mr. Naredra Modi three nation visits to the Belgium, United States and Saudi Arabia is land mark event in the Indian foreign policy accomplishment. The Modi began his three nations tour by first going to Belguim, which has just seen in full light full scale of terrorist activity on its land in which more 31 innocent people have lost their lives. Mr. Modi first visited the memorial cite and paid rich floral tributes to citizens and assured the Belgium that India would stand behind the tiny gold and jewellary rich nation. Later he embarked upon to the United States to participate in Nuclear Security Summit 2016 which was held in the Washington D.C. from March, 31- April 1, 2016 The first Nuclear Security Summit was held in Washington, DC in 2010 and was followed by additional Summits in Seoul in 2012 and The Hague in 2014. These Summits have achieved tangible improvements in the security of nuclear materials and stronger international institutions that support nuclear security.

The just concluded fourth summit was attended by leaders from across the nuclearised and non nuclearsed world include British Prime Minister David Cameron Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, French President François Hollande, Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi, Argentine President Mauricio Macri, Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and South Korean President Park Geun-hye, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the Summit. Russia had boycotted that summit saying that the United States is interfering in the running of the summit . and Washington is trying to assume the role of the main and privileged player in this field, the foreign ministry said, adding that Russia would instead focus on its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency.

Prime Minister Modi in the summit deliberations appreciated the role played by the American president Mr. Obama and he stressed that he is doing a great service to global security and he pledged Indias contribution of $1 million to the International Atomic Energy Commission towards Mr. Modi underlined the priority India has attached to nuclear security at home, in terms of institutional frameworks, resources for training people, and by continuing to reflect India’s international obligations in national actions. . Mr Modi’s told the gathering how India was moving to safer technologies to protect radioactive material. Mr Modi cited as an example, the shift to the use of Cesium 137 only in its vitrified form in medical equipment, moving away from powder and liquid forms. Mr Modi also outlined India’s plans to enhance engagement with the IAEA, the Interpol and other international forums on the issue of nuclear security. Though Russia boycotted the summit the almost all other member countries attended and agreed to take nuclear security is a priority issue. During this meeting he met almost powerful world leaders and emphasized that immediate tasks before us to tackle impounding nuclear arsenals may not go to hands of international terrorist organizations like I.S.I.S. and Al Quida etc.

While returning back to home Mr. Narendra Modi chose another strategic tour of Saudi Arabia to establish the historical ties with that country. As Saudi Arabia always stanch supporter of Pakistan as both having strong military and economic band since long time.

Mr.Modi in his sojourn to Saudi made ice to be melt with Saudi King Abdul Aziz as lakhs of Indian expatriate work there and he concluded historic five agreements with that nation including curbing cross border terrorism financing, money laundering drug trafficking etc. In strengthening ties Saudi government has conferred highest civilian award upon our prime minister. In his talks with Saudi government he convinced them that cross border terrorism is biggest challenge to India and stressed upon it to convince Pakistan to desist such activities. The sojourn of the prime minister three nations became a highly successful and during the nuclear summit the world leaders have cautiously listened to Indian version and particularly Mr. Obama given highest regard to view point of India.

This sojourn of prime minister became not only a highly successful affair but considerably contributed bilateral friendship between Belgium, United States, Saudi Arabia and other nuclear summit nations.​
