DEO: Well, it gives a lot of pleasure to be the first DEO of the newly formed district. I thank the authorities for having faith in me and will ensure to give the best of the services to the designation I’m honored with. THE HANS: After taking charge, how many inspections have you made in this district? What are the outcomes and observations?

DEO: I have taken the charge on 11th October this year and the journey has been wonderful, exciting and encouraging. Almost 45-50 schools were inspected by me. I am mostly satisfied with the way our schools are showing the growth in enhancing the skills of students and am honored to see this commitment in the teachers.

HANS: Digital Learning or E – learning has become popular. It has also been implemented in our State on a grand scale. Can you tell us how many schools exist in Nirmal district? How many schools have been installed with the digital-boards?

DEO: It gives a lot of joy to see the revolutionary changes in the field of education. Coming to our district, almost 126 schools in the state have been availed with digital classes.

Mana TV has sponsored 58 schools, whereas offline classes are availed around 38-40 schools. K.N Daana, a government firm has digitized 10+ schools in our district. Hopefully, in the quick time, other schools will also be digitized with good infrastructure.

All of these are regularly inspected by four in-charge officers to ensure that students receive the maximum benefit of the facility availed.
HANS: How about accommodation and staff is it adequate.

DEO: Well, not much problem is faced. Little inconvenience is there, but can be managed as it is a new district and it lies in our hands to make the maximum utilization of the resources available. Staff deficit is there, but we all work together and are so cooperative that the deficit just remains as a position to fill.

HANS: What are your guidelines and instructions for the upcoming SSC exams and any plan of action.DEO: Of course, it’s a big task ahead of us. We have almost designed a flexible and rigid plan of action to give the best result in the first year of Nirmal district.

I have visited some of the schools, checked with the status of the results in the recently conducted FAs and SA-I. A review meeting was held with the respective Headmasters were advised to make students stress free and offering them counseling sessions. They should be made to relax and feel comfortable during examination time.

The teachers would also concentrate on the laggards and complete the syllabus by December. Exams are to be conducted at the convenience of the teacher voluntarily.

This will help the students be involved with the books and hold a review meet finally between 15th to 21st February. Special classes for class 10th will be commenced from first of January.HANS: What is your opinion on Teacher Unions in the district?

DEO: Unions bring the unity in the professionals and the profession itself. I personally feel that these unions work for the betterment of the services rendered by a teacher and have always been cooperative with me. It’s been amazing to work with them.THE HANS: What is your opinion about the private schools?

DEO: I must strongly urge the private managements to follow the norms and the guidelines fixed by the government and ensure that the best quality education is imparted to the learners by qualified teachers. Even the Telangana Government has made it clear that it will appoint only those qualify in the TET examination from the academic year, 2017-18.

THE HANS: It is alleged that some of teachers who render their services in remote areas like Kubeer Mandal surrounding tribal village are not attending school regularly. What action do you propose to take…

DEO:So far, I don’t notice any such incident, if anything brought to any notice, I will act swiftly and initiate stringent action against those errant teachers.HANS: Any final advice you have to give to the students.

DEO:The Government intends to impart life-oriented education rather than bread winning education.Education is assimilation of knowledge. Every student must think of contributing their best to the country through the profession they choose.
