No tie-up with other parties: Naidu

Eluru: Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has ruled out tie-up with any of the other parties in the forthcoming polls, considering that the party's previous poll debacles were the outcome of alliances. At a review meeting at Kovvuru and Achanta constituencies in West Godavari district on Friday, he asserted that the party, under him and TDP founder NT Rama Rao, had achieved the pinnacle of glory on the strength of sacrifices made by the cadre. He characterised them as the backbone of the party. The TDP president pointed out that "a few leaders of the party" had defected to other parties, but most of party activists remained with the party. A The strength of the party lay in its cadre, he said. In the course of his speech, he criticised the YSR Congress Party, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi and the Congress. He exhorted party workers to work hard and bring the TDP back to power.
