Hyderabad: G Kiran Reddy, inaugurated the School Games Federation of Volleyball tournament at St. Paul’s High School, Mamidapally, Nizamabad District on Monday. 10 Districts of Telangana Schools boys and girls participated in the prestigious tournament from December 1-3. On the concluding day, the chief guest spoke at length regarding hard work of young volley ballers and what they should do to increase their jump, control over the ball, rhythm in action, etc.
He said that if they are the best in the game it will be useful for them to get a sports quota admission and later on to get a good job in a government department if the player is the best.
The organizers of the tournament – Pavan and Paul - were also present on this occasion. During the tournament, the results were: Boys Khammam beat Rangareddy 25-18, 25-17, Girls Warangal beat Nizamabad 25-14,14-25,15-9. The best players will be selected at the state-level to participate in the Inter State volleyball championship. The Chief guest gave prizes to the winners and runners-up.
