In all 2,200 members took part in the programme.

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) on Friday conducted a training programme for nodal officers and cluster in charge officers in preparation for mega household survey on August 19. In all 2,200 members took part in the programme.

GHMC Commissioner Somesh Kumar said the aim of the training programme was to ensure that each officer knew his role for the effective implementation of 'Samagrah Kutumba Survey' to be held on August 19.

One nodal officer would be deployed in each of the 150 wards and in exceptional cases where the ward size is big, two officers would be pressed into service. Each group of 10 enumerators would be led by a supervisor, known as cluster incharge.

Posting orders would be served on Monday and Tuesday. Training programme would continue on Wednesday and Thursday.

Enumerators would visit houses twice. The first visit would take place on Sunday and this would help enumerators acquaint themselves with the area and identify houses.

The second visit would be on Monday. Pamphlets would be distributed and people would be made aware of the information that they need to furnish.

The Commissioner appealed to citizens of to participate in the survey on August 19to be benefited for the new schemes of the Telangana State government. The collectors of Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts are planning to declare a holiday on the day.
