Hyderabad: The official logo for Telangana police was finalised on Sunday. The state government on Sunday has passed orders to this effect. The Central Home Secretary Ajay Mishra has officially unveiled the logo and said that the Police Vehicles and Uniform will hereafter bear the same logo.

The new logo has the notions to indicate the duties of the police, the honour they have for their services and the compassion the police have for the people. The length and breadth of the logo are 98mm and 76mm, respectively. Blue, black, golden yellow, red and white colours have been used for the logo designing. The logo comprises of two layers. The top portion of the logo comprises the official national emblem i.e. four lions with Satyemev Jayate underneath the lions. The text “Telangana State” is placed below the national emblem in white letters. The middle portion of the logo has the text Police in white colour font on the red colour background. The bottom portion of the logo has a three line text - Duty, Honour and Compassion.

The red colour in the logo denotes the bravery of the police while the White colour in the logo denotes friendliness of the police, while the navy blue colour denotes everyone is equal before law and order. The golden line has been included to denote “Safety Guard for Golden Telangana”.
