Hyderabad: Staff members of AP Secretariat will not participate in the survey being conducted in Telangana State on August 19. Clarifying the stand of the employees, president of AP Secretariat Employees Association U Muralikrishna told reporters on Monday that several departments in the AP Secretariat received letters from GHMC commissioner asking them to report for survey.
In the finance department, 27 staff members were asked to report to the commissioner, Muralikrishna informed. “Why should we do for Telangana. Will the Telangana government trust us and the data collected by us?” questioned the leader of the Association.
When asked, Minister for Finance Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said his ministry did not receive any letter from Telangana State government to draft his department personnel for the survey.
