Telangana farmers to get input subsidy

Hyderabad: The Telangana State government has come forward to help out the farmers who lost a seasonal crop. The state government of Telangana has come forward to offer an input subsidy to all such farmers. From 2009 to 2014, there have been many natural calamities in the state which dragged the farmers into the ditch. It was either drought or floods or hailstorms that shook up the region. Though the input subsidy was announced by the previous government itself, the same has remained pending till this time. The Telangana state government has decided to release the funds immediately towards the same. The input subsidy will be deposited into the accounts of the farmers directly by the state government within the coming 90 days.

With this decision taken by the Telangana state, the farmers of Karimnagar and Mahabubnagar districts will be benefitted the most. Karimnagar is about to get Rs 106cr while Mahabubnagar will be getting Rs 100cr. The remaining districts’ share is appended below:

Ranga Reddy : 52cr

Medak : 46cr

Nizamabad : 20cr

Nlagonda : 76cr

Warangal : 31cr

Khammam : 2.5cr

Adilabad : 69cr

The input subsidy offered by the Telangana state government is a sure sort of relief to the farmers of Telangana in their dire straits. The farmers urge the government to provide the subsidy even before the coming Kharif season only.
