Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Thursday clarified that it had no intention to increase the age of retirement from 58 years to 60 years, as it would affect the employment opportunities of the Telangana youth.
This was disclosed by Finance Minister Etela Rajender during the Question Hour in the State Assembly. He said the government would soon take steps for filling up of vacancies in government posts to provide opportunities for unemployed Telangana youth in TS Sachivalayam.
He said that though other states might have increased the age of retirement, Telangana government would stick with 58 years.
