Singareni Day held with great éclat

2K run organised in Kothagudem town
Kothagudem (Khammam): Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) celebrated its Singareni Day on a grand scale at Prakasam stadium on Tuesday. SCCL director (projects and planning) A Manohara Rao and director (E&M) P Ramesh have flagged off 2K run at the head office of SCCL.
SCCL officials, leaders of labour unions, employees, sports players, rangers, Scouts and Guides have participated in the run. Participants raised slogans of ‘Jai Singareni-Jai Jai Singareni’ while participating in the run in Kothagudem town. The run which began at head office concluded at Prakasam stadium.
Scouts and Guides and member of band party gave a rousing welcome to Manohara Rao and Ramesh while they were entering the stadium. They released a ‘sky balloon’ and inaugurated various stalls set up in the stadium.
Yellandu: SCCL general manager Rajeswar Reddy launched Singareni Day celebrations here on Tuesday. He hoisted the flag of SCCL and felicitated three retired workers on the occasion.
Manugur: Chief general manager Ramana Murthy hoisted Singareni flag and released pigeons as part of Singareni Day celebrations here on Tuesday. Later, he inaugurated various stalls put up by the employees. Speaking on the occasion, Ramana Murthy said that Singareni Collieries has been witnessing growth with the support of employees and workers.
