Hyderabad: The participants of the 22nd batch of Vaktha felt their skills and abilities were ‘unplugged’ during the two-day training session organised jointly by HMTV and Kaushalya School of Life Skills on January 17 and 18.

The public speaking training programme, which was attended by people from all age groups, produced a marked change in them. Some of them, whose hands and legs shook while holding a mike, expressed confidence after attending the programme.

D Balreddy, Director, Hyderabad Media House and lead faculty explained all important tips and techniques related to public speaking. While providing insights into the dos and don’ts of public speaking, he also explained the participants that to become a good public speaker one has to practice and prepare oneself. They should also keep in mind the mood of audience all the times.

The participants, who tried to speak like an orator, explained that they could clearly recognise the deficiencies and would work on improving the same in the coming days. The session on ‘Influencer’, inspired the participants to become good communicators, who played great role while influencing people with his or her attitude.

S Anand Parjanya, faculty on body language trained the participants on maintaining their posture while delivering a speech and communicating at a public place. He explained as to how the speaker should communicate the subject with coordinating actions of hands.

While giving their feedback, Bhavana Chowdary, a young aspiring leader said she had found changes in her. She explained how she lost fear during the two-day training. Now she is eagerly waiting for an opportunity to hold mike and address huge audience. G Madhava Rao, who found the training programme very useful felt that he received more in return than what he expected. He suggested others to attend and get benefitted by ‘Vaktha’. B Sangha Mithra, an MBA graduate felt that every job aspirant should attend the two-day programme for enhancing their skills.
