Hyderabad: Telangan State Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Friday dismissed the speculation on the TRS joining the NDA government as untrue. “No talk took place between the TRS and BJP in this regard,” the Chief Minister asserted.

In a brief chitchat with newsmen at Telangana Bhavan, he replied in the negative if TRS would consider if the BJP national leadership invited his party to join government in the future. “Such kind of talk did not happen,” he said.

When asked about NDA government giving more preference to Telangana government of late, he accepted that fact and said that it was due to State government extending olive branch to the Centre. Telangana government was keen on having cordial relations with Centre for speedy development of the new State, he added.

TS budget allocations depend on Centre’s annual budget

Meanwhile, replying to a question about TS budget estimation for the next fiscal, Rao said it would all depend on the Centre’s annual budget to be presented on February 28. “Our eyes are focused on Union Finance Minister’s budget presentation (on February 28) in which he would give clarity on NDA’s priorities regarding schemes. Based on that, TS would prepare its own budget since it would give us clear picture on the schemes to be funded by the Centre and the schemes on which state should spend money from its own pocket,” Rao stated.
