Vikarabad (Ranga Reddy): Finance and Civil Supplies Minister Eatala Rajender said that education is all about learning to serve the society and not about mark sheets. He was the chief guest at the annual function of a Vikas Junior College here on Thursday. The Minister gave a call to students to shun inferiority complex and develop positive attitude to become successful in life.

He pointed out that job aspirants, who would be selected through the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC), should provide service to people with humanity as compared to job holders in corporate sector. He said that the TRS government was supplying superfine quality rice to government hostels and schools as students were unable to eat food with low-quality rice in the past.

Eatala pointed out that the TRS came to power as they fought for separate state for Telangana with full gusto. He exhorted the students to give their best to get selected for jobs through the TSPSC. With an aim to provide education from KG to PG for students of Telangana, the Minister stated that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was determined to introduce KG to PG free education from next academic year.

Eatala said that farmers are backbone of the country. He asked the students to study technical courses which would benefit farmers. He expressed anguish that farmers were unable to get water from borewells even after digging to a depth of 500 to 600 feet.

“The Chief Minister said that the TRS would not contest in next elections if the government fails to supply drinking water to every house in next three years,” he told the students. He stated that the western region of the Ranga Reddy district is still backward in development compared to other regions even though the district is adjoining Hyderabad.
