Lightening kills three farmers in Medak

The unseasonal rains have brought more misery to farmers hitting their crops and also lightening deaths to those working in farms.

Three members of a family including a boy were killed and two others were injured when lightning struck them at Veltoor village of Sadasivpet mandal in neighbouring Medak district of Telangana on Friday.

The incident occurred when the victims had taken shelter under a tree in the rain when the lightning struck. Danaiah (60), Mallesham (32) and Anil (9) were killed on the spot, said inspector P Srinivas Naidu.

The unseasonal rains after Maha Shivaratri festival some times with hail stones had been cause of huge crop loss to farmers in the last few years in both Telagnana and Andhra Pradesh.
