Khammam: The Left Parties on Wednesday appealed to people to elect a person who is capable of questioning the TRS government for not fulfilling its poll promises.

The leaders of CPM, CPI and CPI-ML New Democracy, who are supporting the candidature of S Prabhakar Reddy, an independent candidate contesting for the Legislative Council election of the Nalgonda-Khammam-Warangal Graduates’ constituency, met here for a coordination meeting of Khammam and Palair constituencies.

“Time has come for the people to question the TRS government on its poll promises,” CPM district executive committee member Nunna Nageswara Rao said, pointing to the ever-increasing unemployment issue.

Referring to the Left Parties’ people’s movements, he called upon the graduates to support those who are working for the cause of public.

CPI district secretary Bagam Hemanth Rao said that the rulers with their false promises were trying to divert the people.

New Democracy district secretary Potu Ranga Rao expressed hope that people would welcome the unity of Left Parties and support Prabhakar Reddy by giving their first priority vote.

The coordination meeting was attended by Yerra Srinivasa Rao (CPM), Johnymiya (CPI) and Avula Venkateswarlu (ND). Kasani Ailaiah, Macha Venkateswarlu, Buggaveeti Sarala, B Lenin, Rayala Chandrasekhar and other leaders were present.
