Hyderabad Division of South Central Railway (SCR) conducted a fortress check at Kacheguda Railway Station on March 9, to curb the menace of ticketless and irregular travel. The check was conducted under the direct supervision of Aruna Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division and the Commercial Officers of the division.

Hyderabad: Hyderabad Division of South Central Railway (SCR) conducted a fortress check at Kacheguda Railway Station on March 9, to curb the menace of ticketless and irregular travel. The check was conducted under the direct supervision of Aruna Singh, Divisional Railway Manager, Hyderabad Division and the Commercial Officers of the division.

45 Ticket checking staff along with five Railway Protection Force (RPF) personnel carried out the drive and checked the tickets of each passenger. During the check, all the exit points were plugged to prevent the ticketless travellers escaping the check. Eight express trains, 15 passenger trains and 60 MMTS and suburban trains were checked. A total of 488 cases were registered, of which 222 were registered for travelling without ticket, 19 cases for irregular travel, 244 cases for un-booked luggage and three cases for littering. An amount of Rs 1, 25, 505 was realised towards penalty from these persons.
