6.25 lakh BPL families to get gas connections

Finance Minister Etela Rajender, who is also in charge of Civil Supplies, informed the Assembly on Friday that 6.25 lakh BPL families would be covered under the Deepam Scheme for providing new domestic gas connections during the financial year 2014-15. Stating this during question hour, the Finance Minister said orders have been issued to the district administrations to identify eligible women for distribution of Deepam connections.
Hyderabad:  Finance Minister Etela Rajender, who is also in charge of Civil Supplies, informed the Assembly on Friday that 6.25 lakh BPL families would be covered under the Deepam Scheme for providing new domestic gas connections during the financial year 2014-15. Stating this during question hour, the Finance Minister said orders have been issued to the district administrations to identify eligible women for distribution of Deepam connections. Soon after selection of the beneficiaries, the distribution process will commence, he added.
