Hyderabad: Telangana Telugu Desam MLAs on Friday called on Governor E S L Narasimhan at Raj Bhavan and complained that the ruling party had deliberately suspended them to stifle their voice. Speaking to media persons later, TTD floor leader Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Revanth Reddy and others said they had complained to the Governor that their suspension from Assembly was unlawful. Dayakar Rao stated that they had urged the Governor to initiate action to disqualify the leaders like T Srinivas Yadav, Teegala Krishna Reddy and Ch Dharma Reddy for switching to the ruling party and thus violating Anti-Defection Law.

“We urged the Governor through a memorandum to take immediate action against the TRS government for violating the Constitution,” he said. The TDP leader also accused the Speaker S Madhusudhana Chary of adopting partisan attitude in the House. “The Speaker is showing favour to the ruling party and was acting at the behest of the Legislative Affairs Minister T Harish Rao. The ruling party is making mockery of the democracy,” he alleged.

Dayakar Rao alleged that the TRS members had attacked them at latter’s benches. “We urged the Governor to take a decision after seeing all the four footages and not parts of the proceedings on the day that led to their ouster,” he said. The footages would expose the real culprits, who attacked them, he said. “We apprised the Governor of the chaos on the first day which led to their suspension,” he said.

The TDP leader also reiterated that they did not defame or belittle the national anthem when it was played in the House, he said. The governor was expected to respond on this he said. “Our suspension is in violation of Constitution, they fumed. The TRS government intentionally had thrown us out of the budget session only to throttle our voice,” they charged.
