Hyderabad: Interestingly this year, four invigilators were barred from the SSC examination invigilation as they failed to deliver their duties during the exams that begun on Wednesday. According to a senior official of Telangana Directorate of Government Examinations, two invigilators in Medak were found possessing mobiles and two in Hyderabad were removed from invigilation for giving additional answer sheets to the students instead of main answer sheets.
“The invigilators should deposit mobiles with the chief superintendent of the examination centre. However, they carried the mobiles into the examination hall. During the inspection by the flying squads and District Education Officers, they were found with the mobile phones. The officials immediately removed them.
They will not be allowed for the rest of the examinations,” said an official who wished not to be quoted. Meanwhile, on the first day of examination seven malpractice cases-three each in Mahabubnagar and Adilabad districts, one in Nizamabad were registered. Of 2,614 exam centres, the squads could cover only 923 centres on the first day. About 5.65 lakh candidates appeared for the examination from 10,978 schools.
