SHE teams launched at Mahabubnagar, Shadnagar
On the instructions of the DGP, the District Superintendent of Police (SP) P Viswa Prasad launched two SHE teams here on Friday to protect girls and women from eve-teasers. Speaking on the occasion, the SP said that the SHE teams would start functioning in the cities of Mahabubnagar and Shadnagar. He stated that each SHE team will comprise one Sub-Inspector, a head constable and one woman constable.

Speaking on the occasion, the SP said that the SHE teams would start functioning in the cities of Mahabubnagar and Shadnagar. He stated that each SHE team will comprise one Sub-Inspector, a head constable and one woman constable. “Each member of the team would be equipped with a camera and a smartphone,” he added.
Vishwa Prasad said that the SHE teams would keep an eye on suspects at shopping malls, women’s hostels, educational institutions and movie theatres. He pointed out that members of SHE teams would catch eve-teasers red-handed after video recording of their misbehavior with girls and women. The SP said that the first time offenders would be let off after conducting counseling. “However, cases would be filed against repeated offenders under the Nirbhaya Act,” he added.
