Demanding a probe into the encounter in which two suspected Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) under-trials were killed in Nalgonda district, Telangana BJP president G. Kishan Reddy on Sunday said that National Investigation Agency (NIA) should be involved in view of the news that the under-trials had links with Pakistan’s ISI; also that they had also committed crimes in other States. On Thursday, the two SIMI under-trials were suspected to have killed a constable, shot at policemen and injuring a sub-inspector, an inspector at Suryapet in Nalgonda district.

Kishan Reddy said that aspects such as the ones who gave shelter to the accused need to be probed along with the provision of modern weapons for the State Government Policemen.
