55 tanks to be restored in first phase

Adilabad: Housing and Endowment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy inaugurated tank restoration works at Ponkal in Mamada mandal on Monday as part of Mission Kakatiya project. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the State government had selected 55 tanks for restoration in the first phase under the Nirmal Assembly constituency. He said desilting of tanks, strengthening of bunds and taking out weeds from tanks would be taken up as part of tank restoration works. He asked officials to supervise restoration works in a foolproof-manner.
