A group of senior Congress leaders on Friday visited villages in Nizamabad district where crop damage was reported due to unseasonal rains. They interacted with farmers to secure the details. The team comprising TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, senior Congress leader D Srinivas and other Congress leaders visited Yellareddipalli of Dharpalli mandal, Konduru and Nyavanandi of Sirikonda mandal and Bada Bheemgal of Bheemgal mandal.

Speaking on the occasion, Bhatti Vikaramarka alleged that the TRS government was adopting anti-peasant policies in the State. D Srinivas demanded that the State government should provide adequate compensation to farmers.
