In the wake of earthquake devastating Nepal wherein about over 900 persons were reportedly died, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Saturday expressed concern over the tremors. The Chief Minister wrote a letter to Indian Ambassador in Nepal Ranjith Ray and sought to know the whereabouts of Telugu people if caught in the natural calamity.

Hyderabad: In the wake of earthquake devastating Nepal wherein about over 900 persons were reportedly died, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Saturday expressed concern over the tremors. The Chief Minister wrote a letter to Indian Ambassador in Nepal Ranjith Ray and sought to know the whereabouts of Telugu people if caught in the natural calamity.

The Chief Minister’s Office sent a fax message to the envoy seeking him details on the incident and sought safe return of those 28 persons from Hyderabad’s Saibaba Travels and any others. He also requested Ray to take up safety measures if people of India and Telangana State were caught in the earthquake. Chandrashekar Rao directed the CMO officials and in-charge Information Commissioner BP Acharya to talk to Nepal officials on the safe return of the Telugu people to the State.
