Justice BhosaleHyderabad: Justice Dilip Babasaheb Bhosale, senior-most judge of the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana High Court, was asked on Thursday to perform the duties of the Chief Justice of the High Court in Hyderabad. A Law Ministry statement in Delhi said that he would assume his charge with effect from Thursday following the retirement of Chief Justice Kalyan Jyoti Sengupta. Governor of Andhra Pradesh ESL Narasimhan administered the oath of office to Bhosale.


Sources said that Bhosale will continue as the Chief Justice for a couple of months on temporary basis. Justice Dilip Bhoslae hails from Satara district of Maharashtra. He did his schooling and college education in Mumbai. He joined the Bar in June 1980 and was practicing in Bombay High Court till his elevation as Judge. Justice Bhosale was elected to the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa in 1985 and was the youngest member of a State Bar Council in the country and was elected for three consecutive terms.
