Bandaru DattatreyaHyderabad: Lashing out at AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi for his Telangana visit, Union Labour and Employment Minister Bandaru Dattatreya on Thursday accused the former of taking up political voyage. Addressing a press conference here, Dattatreya sought to know if the Congress leader would respond to the suicides by farmers across the nation during UPA II regime.

The Congress’ inefficiency prompted the suicides as the UPA government had failed to address the grievances of farmers, he alleged. Congress leaders should abstain from political criticism and make constructive suggestions to the NDA government at the Centre, he said.

“However, we are not ready to tolerate meaningless comments by the Congress,” he said adding that Rahul Gandhi was a novice and lacked awareness and knowledge about anything. He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was offering transparent governance and would address the issues that are daunting the country.
