KCR sticks by his word, to construct houses for poor on OU lands
Despite the protests staged by the Osmania University students, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday made it clear that the decision would still be the same and houses would be constructed for the poor on the lands of Osmania University.

Objecting to the students protest, KCR said that he is very firm on his decision and would not abandon things mid way. The Chief Minister further said that he would go ahead with implementing his promise to the poor.
On being questioned about students burning his effigy, KCR said that political leaders are supporting the students in such activities. Stating that we are living in democracy, KCR said that universities do not require hundreds and thousands of acres of land and when golf courses and race courses can have thousands of acres of land, there’s nothing wrong in building houses for the poor on the University lands.
