The Telangana government is gearing up to celebrate the State Formation day which falls on June 2, in a grand manner. Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, on Wednesday, conducted a video conference with District Collectors in the presence of Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of various departments in this regard.

Hyderabad: The Telangana government is gearing up to celebrate the State Formation day which falls on June 2, in a grand manner. Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, on Wednesday, conducted a video conference with District Collectors in the presence of Principal Secretaries and Secretaries of various departments in this regard.
While calling for reflecting the culture of Telangana in the Formation Day celebrations, Sharma directed the collectors to prepare a detailed plan of programmes that were to be conducted between June 2 and June 7, as part of the Formation Day celebrations. Celebrations will start in all District headquarters with the hoisting of National flag at 9 am on June 2.
Parade Grounds in Secunderabad will be the venue for celebrations scheduled between 9.30 am and 11.30 am on the Formation Day in the state capital. The Chief Secretary directed officials to make arrangements for conducting a march-past and demonstration of tableaux of various departments.
Raj Bhavan, Necklace Road, Hussain Sagar, Lumbini Park, Metrorail pillars, traffic signals and government office buildings will be brightly illuminated. The Chief Secretary directed officials and collectors to ensure display of Formation Day logos in all shops and commercial establishments in the state.
He cautioned the collectors to take into account the scorching summer heat while making arrangements and directed them to consult in-charge ministers of their respective districts. The CS wanted the collectors to install martyrs’ memorials in all districts. However, bursting of fire-crackers at People’s Plaza in Hyderabad will take place at 8 pm on June 2, and not at the midnight on June 1 as scheduled earlier, the CS said.
Artistes of Telangana Sanskrutika Sarathi will embark on a ‘Telangana Sanskrutika Jaitrayatra’ and will cover two districts per day. The CS directed officials to make appropriate arrangements for the same. The programme will start at Necklace Road on June 2.
The Jaitrayathra rally will be held in Medak on June 3 between 9 am and 11 am and in Nizamabad from 5 pm on the same day. Districts of Adilabad and Karimnagar will be covered on June 4. The Jaitrayatra rally will then move to Warangal and Khammam on June 5, Nalgonda and Mahabubnagr on June 6.
According to Sanskrutika Sarathi chairman Rasamayi Balakishan, the Jaitrayatra rally will return to Tank Bund on June 7 with a huge participation of Anganwadi workers and women’s SHG groups. Principal Secretary and I & PR Commissioner BP Acharya asked collectors to distribute CDs of songs to all Gram panchayats and also ensure that they are played every morning and evening during celebrations.
Government Advisor KV Ramanachary, DGP Anurag Sharma, Principal Secretaries Rajeshwar Tewari, Raymond Peter, Secretaries Vikas Raj, Harpreet Singh, Dana Kishore, Intelligence IG Shasidhar Reddy and Metro rail MD NVS Reddy took part in the video conference.
