Following assurance given by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar, the GHMC employees postponed the indefinite strike which they proposed to undertake from 25th June.
Hyderabad: Following assurance given by Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner and Special Officer Somesh Kumar, the GHMC employees postponed the indefinite strike which they proposed to undertake from 25th June.
It may be recalled that the municipal employees unions proposed to go on strike demanding increase in salaries on par with government and RTC employees.
In this connection, Somesh Kumar conducted a meeting with various unions and requested them not to go on strike from June 25. He assured the unions that their demands would be placed before the State government and would be sorted out soon. Basing on the request of the GHMC Commissioner, the unions postponed the strike.
