Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau court on Saturday is learnt to have rejected the plea of Election Commission seeking the documents and CDs submitted by the ACB on technical grounds. The Election Commission of India on Thursday filed a petition in the ACB court seeking all copies, documents, audio-video material pertaining to the cash-for-vote case.

A Sri Devasena, deputy chief electoral officer, filed the plea on behalf of the EC. Since the issue surfaced in connection with an electoral offence during the Telangana MLC elections, the Election Commission "desires to have copies of the ACB petitions in the court along with all the relevant material," the official said in the plea.
