The Government of Telangana has decided to impart Community Paramedic training to Registered Medical Practitioners / Private Medical Practitioners in order to improve their skills to administer the medicines prescribed by the qualified medical practitioners.

Hyderabad: The Government of Telangana has decided to impart Community Paramedic training to Registered Medical Practitioners / Private Medical Practitioners in order to improve their skills to administer the medicines prescribed by the qualified medical practitioners.


The government has sanctioned Rs 46 lakh to meet the expenses of the training during the financial year 2015-16, said a GO issued on Tuesday. The government constituted a committee with the Commissioner of Health and Family Welfare as Chairman and Director of Public Health and Family Welfare, Director of Medical Education, Commissioner, Vaidhya Vidhana Parishad, Deputy Commissioner (Training), Telangana Vaidhya Vidhana Parishad, Superintendent of Hospital District concerned (Institutional coordinator for training) as members and Secretary, Telangana State Paramedical Board as Convener.


The Registered Medical Practitioners / Private Medical Practitioners will undergo Community Paramedic Training for a period of one year and will pass the examination conducted by Telangana State Para Medical Board.


The passed candidates will be awarded with ‘Community Paramedic’ certificate. Community Paramedic Training Programme in 10 Districts of Telangana State either in District Hospital or Area Hospital whichever is convenient will conduct the programme.
