Round-the-clock health services at Pushkar ghats

Hyderabad: The Health Minister, C Lakshma Reddy on Friday said elaborate health arrangements had been put in place for Godavari Pushkarams commencing in the five districts of Telangana on July 14.

Addressing a press conference here, Lakshma Reddy said health services would be provided at 17 Pushkar Ghats round the clock. Necessary health facilities along with 104 and 108 services would be deployed at all 106 pushkar ghats.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who would inaugurate the Pushkaram festivities on the first day, had directed the officials to put in place better medical facilities, the Minister said. The State government had allotted sufficient funds for smooth conduct of Pushkarams for 12 days, he pointed out.

In coordination with other departments, the government would provide all facilities like drinking water, power, better road connectivity in five districts, he said. The Minister appealed to the people to utilise of the health facilities at Pushkar ghats.
