The Telangana Information Technology Association (TITA) is planning to cele- brate Bonalu, the State festival, in a big way on July 26. In what would turn out to be a celebration of Telangana tradition and culture by working IT professionals, the event has been aptly titled ‘Telangana Bonala Jathara – 2015’.

In what would turn out to be a celebration of Telangana tra- dition and culture by working IT professionals, the event has been aptly titled ‘Telangana Bonala Jathara – 2015’.


The fes- tival will be celebrated at Hi-tec City and is expected to attract a huge gathering from different sectors, especially the IT with professionals and corporates being the major audience. The TITA team has proposed to offer 21 Bonalu to Chinna Peddamma Thalli, opposite to the Google building. Telangana Government Advisor K V Ramanachary IAS released the poster for TITA Bonalu.


“Bonalu is a unique festival in the world with the culture of offering Bonalu to Goddess, Potharaju dance, unique Telangana band, thotella etc. TITA Bonalu Jathara is an annual event which last year drew thousands of people and many well-known organisations. The event was witnessed by affluent audience from the IT sector and graced by Nizamabad MP Kalvakuntla Kavitha, Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya, Ministers and IAS officials from the State and the Centre.


Right from its inception in 2010, TITA has been working enthusiastically for the well-being of Telangana. Bonalu, now declared the State festival of Telangana, has been celebrated with fervour every year by TITA and this year we are sure it will be even more magnificent,” said TITA founder president Sundeep Kumar Makthala
