SMC helps 10 Muslims get govt job under quota

Hyderabad: Following the intervention of State Minorities Commission, at least 10 Muslim candidates will now be appointed in Irrigation & CAD (Command Area Development), in posts of Technical Assistant under BC (E) category.

The State Minorities Commission had taken up the issue of non-implementation of reservation under 4% BC”E” under the Sriramsagar Project displaced persons employment Scheme.

After the Commission issued notices, the Administrator-cum Chief Engineer has filed a report stating that the Government has agreed to implement 4 percent reservation. A petition filed by Md Shaik Nisar Ahmed, one of the candidates, stated that the Administration was willfully not implementing the reservation for several years undermining the provision.

Accordingly, the Commission had issued notices and called for reports and conducted a detailed hearing in the said matter and had given its recommendations to appoint the said 10 candidates by implementing BC (E) 4% reservations,” stated Abid Rasool Khan, chairman.

The Administrator-cum Chief Engineer, appearing before the State Minorities Commission, on Monday, has submitted a report stating that the government has agreed to implement 4% reservation under the BC”E” category and has also directed the Chief Engineer to make appointments in cadre of Technical Assistants in compliance with the letter of Commission of April, 29, 2015.
