Gajwel: Stating that the Telangana government would give 33 per cent reservation to women to get into police jobs, Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao said the notification for recruitment of 900 sub-inspectors and 1,500 constables would be issued soon.


Speaking at a function on Friendly Policing at Gajwel of Medak district on Tuesday, he said the Telangana government has sanctioned Rs 37 lakh to provide training to youth for their recruitment in police department.


“We will also provide free training to those interested to join the police wing in Gajwel,” he said. The Minister gave away books to 470 persons, who have undergone training from the institute and exuded confidence that reservation for women will prove handy.


Earlier, he participated in the Haritha Haaram programme at Siddipet wherein 60,000 saplings were planted. He said trees would be planted on either sides of Rajiv Rahadari from Kavanti Mamadi to Ananta Sagar.
