Farmers suicide in Telangana is on the rise as two more farmers committed suicide on Friday. Ridden in debts, a farmer, Gangaram from Nizamabad district committed suicide.
Gangaram had over Rs 10 lakh debts and with heavy crop loss, he ended his life by hanging himself on a tree. On Saturday morning, the family members of Gangaram were informed of his death by the neighbouring farmers.
Another farmer, Srisailam from Ranga Reddy district committed suicide on Thursday and was immediately rushed to the Vikarabad hospital. However, while undergoing treatment, Srisailam succumbed to death.
Saddled with Rs 1.20 lakhs debt in two banks, Srisailam committed suicide by consuming pesticide. Srisailam's wife had committed suicide in a similar way a year ago. With both parents dead, their four daughters are left with no one.
