Mahabubnagar: Minister for Industries, Handlooms & Textiles Sugar Jupally Krishna Rao reviewed with District Collector T K Sridevi and other officials about the preparedness for the upcoming Krishna Pushkaralu-2016, at MGKLI Guest house, Kollapur.

During the review, the Minister told the officials that basing on the huge turnout in the recently-concluded Godavari Pushkaralu, the crowd for the next Krishna Pushkaralu would be increased in leaps and bounds.

He told the officials that the earlier 12 Ghats would not be sufficient and asked them to prepare action plan for 54 Pushkara Ghats with budget proposals, which tentatively identified. He instructed the District Collector to consolidate the proposals and submit them to the government by the end of October 2015.

Further, the Minister asked the Chief Engineer, KLI/PJP to instruct the engineering staff to visit the proposed Pushkara Ghats and prepare line estimates and submit within thr timeframe. TSRTC will prepare action plan to identify bus bays and other amenities along with requirement of buses for the next Pushkaralu.

The District Collector said district joint inspection teams were formed to visit the Ghats and villages to prepare line estimates and tentative action plan. She assured that necessary proposals would be submitted to the government by the end of this October.

Later, the Minister and the Collector, along with all officials visited Singotam, Amaragiri, Machalakatta, Somasila, Jatprol, Chellipad and other villages where Ghats have been proposed tentatively. The MPPs and ZPTCs of Kollapur, Weepanagandla, Pangal, Surpanchas and MPTCs of concerned villages accompanied them.
