Hyderabad: With complaints pouring in from all quarters, the Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana, has taken a decision to carry out re-verification of voters’ list to look into the allegation of deletion of voters in 24 Assembly constituencies of GHMC limits.
The Chief Electoral Officer has been receiving complaints from political parties of large-scale deletions of existing voters. Instructions have been issued to the Commissioner, GHMC and District Election Officer, Hyderabad, Ranga Reddy and Medak to take up re-verification of all those voters whose names were deleted.
