Hyderabad: A five-year-old girl was abducted by an unidentified woman when the girl’s mother went to buy tickets at Secunderabad Railway Station on Thursday. According to General Railway Police at Secunderabad, the incident has taken place on Thursday,

when Rani, a housewife from Chebrolu village of Gollapudi mandal in West Godavari district was about to board a train to leave to her home. Rani who has come to city to visit her sister who lives in Attapur was leaving to her town on Thursday from Secunderabad Railway Station.

While Rani was standing in the queue line, an unidentified woman posing as a passenger interacted with Rani and pampered her daughter in order to gain her confidence.

As soon as Rani moved towards the counter to buy the ticket, the unidentified woman left the place carrying the baby girl. When the woman returned, she found her daughter missing and also the unidentified woman.

A shocked Rani rushed to the security personnel at the railway station and complained about her daughter’s abduction. The GRP police immediately alerted their counterparts about the girl’s abduction and began searching for the girl.

During verification of the CC Camera footage, the police found a woman leaving the railway station. A case has been registered and teams were formed to rescue the baby girl, the police told media.
